Robert Mwesigwa J

Robert Mwesigwa Johns. Executive Director at Top Notch-CDI. Robert is Civil Society Social Scientist and an Organizational Development (OD) Specialist. He has over 18 years of profound and impeccable experience in NGO management and leadership. As a development practitioner, he has worked and consulted for national and international reputable organizations including BRAC, Africare, JSI, Reproductive Health Uganda, The AIDS Support Organization (TASO) and PACE, Child Fund, MUCOBADI and UNASO among others. His major areas of programming experience is in the following areas: HIV&AIDS, OVC, Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), health policy, partnership building, advocacy, coordination, Gender-based violence (GBV), women & youth empowerment (livelihoods) among others. He has worked and / or supported development work in various countries in Africa including Uganda, Cameroon, Ghana, Tanzania, Gabon, Ivory coast, Burundi, Kenya, Southern Africa and Rwanda among others. Robert is familiar with programming both in refugee setting and host communities in Uganda. He has conducted several assessments in refugee and host community settings that enabled him to understand contextual issues for refugee programming. He is familiar with vulnerability index & vulnerability assessment skills in identifying the most vulnerable women, children and youth among others. He is familiar with gender analysis, equity and disability programming. Robert has guided several organizations to develop implementable strategic plans and resource mobilization strategies and has also built institutional capacities in various technical and governance areas. Robert holds A Master’s Degree in Health Management, Planning and Policy (HMPP) from Leeds University-Nuffield Institute for Health (UK) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences (Sociology) from Makerere University (Uganda). He also holds other qualifications (certificates) from recognized institutions such as project planning and management, monitoring and evaluation, Certificate in 7 habits of highly effective people among others.
